report-shows-vast-majority-of-cell-phone-users-use

Maybe in 2006? No. I'm not predicting that.

Daniel has the top mobile content usage for November and two-factor authentication is not near the top nor on the list nor probably on the radar.

If strong authentication becomes a consumer play in 2006 due to the FFIEC's guidelines for online banking, will cell carriers be interested in two-factor applications like WiKID? I have doubts, as they probably make more money with ringtones.

There are OTP systems that use SMS. One benefit of WiKID vs delivering an OTP via SMS is that the latter makes a carrier's SMS system an attack target and I'm willing to bet the last thing a carrier wants is a break-in to one of their SMS servers.

It is possible that online banking on the cell phone could get a boost, but there is still an issue with the "WAP gap" and other security problems.
